SYNOPSIS

Veteran musician and filmmaker Nick Kelly sets off to cycle from his home in Dublin to the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, carrying all his gear on his bike and playing shows en route, all to prove it’s possible to tour live music without driving. He’s accompanied by his long-suffering friend and musical partner Seán Millar, who tracks Nick’s progress by bus and joins him onstage each night.

A funny, moving and thought-provoking film about Mother Nature, Father Time and Brothers on the Road.

DIRECTOR

Before his debut as a film director, in the early 1990s dubliner Nick Kelly was the lead singer and songwriter for The Fat Lady Sings. He then released four award-winning solo albums. His work as a copywriter is also quite well known, particularly an advertisement for Guinness called Quarrel, featuring a young Michael Fassbender. Nick began writing and directing for cinema in 2003. He has directed three short films before his first feature The Drummer and the Keeper, presented at IrishFilmFesta 2019. The Song Cycle, winner of Best Independent Film at the 36th Galway Film Fleadh, is his latest film.
